The opposite end to the buckle is approximately 30mm of hook type velcro. Then there is about 160mm of loop type velcro. There is a gap of 80mm between the end of the loop type velcro and the buckle.
They do easily fasten together to make larger type velcro straps.
I have used them everywhere from my bike to my roof rack !
