This is the adventurous story of the Leyland Brothers 5000 mile (8000 kilometre) expedition over the course of 6 months spanning over 1968-1969 from Darwin to Sydney in an 18 foot open boat, following the route undertaken by Matthew Flinders some 150 years before, along the coast around Arnhem Land and Cape York. At the time of this journey, the Leyland Brothers set the record for the longest open boat voyage in the world. Released for the very first time on DVD in 2010, this unique presentation was produced in memory of Mike Leyland (1941-2009).
