1890-1910 SUNSET LAKE SCENE REVERSE PAINTED SHADE W/ EARLY ELECTRIC FITTER

Circa 1890-1910 reverse-painted glass early electric shade. Wonderful shade ideal for a boudoir or small table lamp, or an early electric sconce. The shade has 4 panels of curved bent trapezoid shaped reverse-painted glass, set in a heavy embossed patterned frame. Lovely sunset colored sky with a tree, lake and mountains in the distance. Manufactured with an early electric fitter to fit onto the top of an Edison bulb. The shade is 4 7/8" at the widest point, and approximately 4 7/8" tall. Undamaged with no cracks breaks or repairs, all original glass. It looks as if the metal frame was painted at some point, this paint is well worn. Desirable and often difficult-to-find early electric shade to complete your lamp.
