Common Uses: Calendula has long been recognized for use homoeopathic preparations in order to restore health. It is said to have antioxidant, antiseptic and regenerating properties. Combined with Sweet Almond Oil, it becomes an excellent salve even for serious burns, bruises and cuts. Calendula Herbal Oil is used in preparations for creams, ointments, tinctures, cosmetics and shampoo. It has soothing and skin softening properties, and is considered a good choice when preparing a massage oil blend with other carrier and essential oils.
Guidelines:
Tinctures: 1:10 dried flower prepared with 70% ethanol
Creams & Ointments: Max of 15% Calendula Oil
Compresses: Tincture diluted 3 - 10 times with water
Poultices: Tincture diluted 3 - 10 times with water
