AWESOME FIND! Rare Original Tin / Metal Two Piece Dove/Bird Decoy!

I am so excited to offer this very rare tin two piece bird decoy.  I purchased it many years ago at an auction.  At that time, I was told that it was from the 1890's and that it was a dove.  I cannot find any markings on it so it is tough to do an internet search to learn more about it. I have found other listings similar to this and some folks suggest that it is a plover or shorebird?  If you know more information that will help, PLEASE contact me an I will update my listing, Thanks!

Until I took the pictures today, I did not even know that the inside of the two halves are painted black.  I also didn't see it until today, that there is a black paint drip on one side of the bird.  Imagine that, I had it displayed for years and never saw the black paint drip!  I guess I thought that it was part of the camo for the bird?  I did NOTHING to clean the decoy as I didn't want to damage it.  Look closely at the pictures, I tried to take all angles.  Please notice that the tip of one of the beaks is not as long as the other, but that, in my opinion, is not noticeable if displayd properly.  

The decoy is about 11 1/2" wide by about 7" tall.  It is held together with two pieces of wire.

The pictures were taken outside on a sunny day.  I believe that natural light shows the product best.  Please review all of the pictures as I hid nothing when taking them.  My customers are satisfied because when you buy from me, there are no unpleasant surprises.
