Antique Hallmarked Silver Fattorini Medal – Birmingham 1923 – Winged Victory / Nike – Original Presentation Box

A superb antique solid silver medal by Fattorini, fully hallmarked for Birmingham 1923, presented in its attractive original fitted case.

The medal features a beautifully detailed classical winged female figure, believed to represent Nike (Winged Victory), standing above a spoked wheel within a finely detailed laurel wreath border.

The initials D.M.C.C. appear on the front of the medal.

The design and initials suggest a possible connection with an early motorcycling or motorcycle club competition, although the precise organisation has not been positively identified.

The reverse is unengraved, with clearly visible Birmingham silver hallmarks for 1923 and maker's mark.

The medal is housed in its original fitted presentation case, with the Fattorini retailer's label inside the lid.
