The Nativity Type A kokeshi doll, by the craft artist Izumi Oki. A work that depicts the birth of Jesus Christ carved on a wood lathe. A strong piece by a Gunma kokeshi artist, also called modern kokeshi. Everything is handmade, carved and painted by the artist. The artist is a handmade artist, so only a limited number are made each year. Gentle face typical of a woman artist. Notes: Joseph’s apron is Mt. Fuji; the angel holds a lily; the rug is red. Simple packaging; cancellations and returns are not accepted except for defects; gift wrapping is not available.
