It was earned — granted only to those who spent $149 or more in a single order, while supplies lasted. The Dark Variant spent considerably more than that on Eternians, and now one of the spoils passes to you.

Kevin the raccoon has strong feelings about swans. He has never caught one. He has never stopped trying. The Dark Variant is selling this card partly to keep the peace.
