Original stampless entire letter from Oneglia to Nizza (Nice), addressed to Signor Francesco Curto.

The front bears a black ONEGLIA double-circle departure datestamp of 4 August, with a manuscript postal charge marking. On the reverse is a red boxed NIZZA / ARRIVO arrival datestamp of 5 August 1858. A handwritten receipt docket also supports the year 1858.

Nice, now in France, belonged to the Kingdom of Sardinia at this date. This therefore represents domestic Sardinian correspondence before Nice passed to France in 1860.

The original handwritten Italian business letter survives inside. It concerns an order for leather goods, discussing quality, colour, available stock and price. The recipient’s occupational description appears to identify him as a leather manufacturer.

The internal date appears to read 3 July 1858, while the postal markings record dispatch and arrival on 4–5 August. This discrepancy is retained as found.
