WW2 RAF Royal Air Force Sweetheart Brooch – King's Crown – 40mm
An attractive original Second World War period Royal Air Force sweetheart brooch, dating to approximately the 1940s.
The brooch features finely detailed outstretched wings centred by the RAF monogram, surmounted by a King's Crown.
The central RAF device retains attractive red and dark blue enamel detailing, with further red enamel decoration to the crown.
Wingspan: approximately 40mm (4cm).
The reverse retains its original-style horizontal pin and clasp fitting.
Good vintage condition overall with age-related wear and some rubbing to the gilt-coloured finish and enamel, consistent with age and use. The pin and clasp are present.
No silver hallmark is visible and the brooch is therefore described as gilt-coloured base metal rather than silver.
Please study all photographs carefully as these form an important part of the description.
An attractive original period piece for collectors of RAF memorabilia, WW2 aviation, Royal Air Force badges and military sweetheart jewellery.
