A very pretty vintage 1940/50’s Spearpoint detail steel quill type stem with a 90mm reach.

Unknown maker but it’s standard 22.2mm steerer so not French.

Has a small loop brazed to the underside which I’ve no idea what for?

Has been suggested it’s for a Race number plate or for a Water Bidon cage?

Very nicely made with lovely detail similar to the GB Kromo steel stem but better finished.
