A common subject in his work, Pablo Picasso's young son Paolo takes on the role of Pierrot in this portrait against a wrought-iron railing. Wearing the costume associated with the legendary character of Italian comedies, the boy stands with his legs in a wide stance and his hands on his hips. Copyright: S.P.A.D.E.M. Vaga, New York 1980
