Historical Society of Western
Pennsylvania. Paperback.
A specialized regional reference on
the makers of wooden planes and related woodworking tools from Western
Pennsylvania and nearby areas. This book is a useful resource for collectors,
dealers, woodworkers, tool historians, and anyone researching early American
hand tools and regional craft industries.
Covers planemakers associated with
Pittsburgh and the surrounding region, making it especially helpful for
identifying obscure maker marks, regional toolmaking history, and Pennsylvania
woodworking traditions. A focused title with strong appeal to collectors of
antique tools, woodworking books, Pennsylvania history, and industrial/craft
history.
