VCR cycles is delighted to bring to the market this stunning one careful owner 1994 Marin Nail Trail MTB.
It’s all original apart from being fitted with full length SKS touring guards and near new Continental Top Touring 1.75 tyres to suit the road better than the hills.
Obviously a change to knobbly tyres and removal of the mudguards would put it back to it’s original MTB state but personally I think it looks great as it is and would make a great work commuter or canal tow path cruiser.
It’s kitted out with a full Shimano Deore Stx 21 speed groupset.
The other components are Marin Lite.
Wheels are STX hubs laced in to Ritchey Rock 440 rims, it’s all original kit as per the 1994 Marin catalogue and it’s all low use and working perfectly.
The frame has been inspected for any hairline cracks etc and I’m pleased to say it’s all good. There’s no dents or damage. It’s got a few scuffs/chips etc as you’d expect for used MTB of 32 years of age but the paint and delicate decals are as you can see in really good shape.

The frame came in 5 sizes:
14”,15.5”,17.5”,19”,20.5” this one measures 19” from the centre of the BB to the very top of the seat tube and 17.5” from the centre of the BB to the centre of the top tube. I’m not sure how Marin measured their frames but this one is either a 17.5” or 19” hopefully one of the Marin enthusiast will fill me in and I’ll adjust the listing.
