Hardcover, orange-brown boards, with olive green dust jacket showing wear around the edges, with b/w photograph of Garnett on back cover. Inside flap summarises the 'fascinating glimpses of a novelist at work' and also sometime Literary Editor of the New Statesman. Endpapers slightly stained. 225 x 150mm. This volume contains an autobiographical account of his 'mature years' (the 1920s and 1930s). First American Edition. Subtitled 'Being Volume Three of the Golden Echo' and frontispiece opposite is b/w photo of Ray Garnett (first wife, died 1940). Dedicated to William Tomilin Kasper Garnett and epigraph on following page, 'I have been laughing... All, all are gone, the old familiar faces.' Illustrations list, Preface and Necrology follow.
