Ford Escort Mk1 2-door Xflow project for sale.

A fantastic opportunity for someone looking for a Mk1 Escort where the major bodywork and paint have already been completed to a very high standard.

This has been a long-term project with a huge amount of time and money already invested. Unfortunately, I simply don't have the time or the patience to finish it. It has been sitting for around 8 months, and rather than leave it gathering dust, I've decided to let someone else complete and enjoy it.

The shell is the real highlight of the car. The bodywork has been completed to an excellent standard and finished in a stunning deep blue. The engine bay, interior, boot area and underside/components have received the same attention. Please study the photographs carefully — this isn't a rusty shell requiring years of welding before you can even begin building the car.

The running gear has been either powder-coated or blasted and painted, with new poly bushes throughout. A considerable amount of preparation has already been done.

The car also comes with a huge collection of parts, far too much to sensibly list individually. Everything shown in the photographs is included in the sale.

Included with the project are two 1600 Xflow engines, one of which I was told is a 1760cc. This hasn't been independently verified, so I'm selling it on that basis rather than making any guarantees. There are also two gearboxes, more running gear, suspension components, propshafts, dashboard/instruments, wiring, lights, interior seats and trim, wheels and numerous boxes of original/new parts.

I've collected most of what I believe is required to complete the car. However, as anyone who has built an old Escort will know, there will inevitably be smaller parts required as the build progresses, so please don't assume absolutely every nut, bolt and clip is present.

This would make a superb fast-road, period-style or Xflow Mk1 Escort, and gives the next owner the opportunity to choose the final specification without having to start with the expensive and time-consuming shell restoration.

I'm happy to provide additional detailed photographs of the shell, underside, engine bay or individual parts to serious buyers.

The car and parts are sold as seen due to being an unfinished restoration/project. I strongly recommend viewing it in person so you can see the quality of the shell and exactly what is included. You're welcome to inspect everything properly before purchasing.
