Vintage pattern for 13-inch (33cm) Composition "Flapper Fanny" doll Dress Coat and Beret featured in 1985/1986 issue of Doll Reader magazine 

Physical Description: The doll is 13 inches (33cm) tall with brown painted hair and brown painted side-glancing eyes.

The Manufacturer Mystery: Her head is unmarked, but she bears a strong resemblance to "Mitzi" by the Maxine Doll Company (featured in John Axe's book Collectible Patsy Dolls and Patsy Types). She shares the same body construction with a socket head as the Mitzi doll.

Effanbee Litigation: The author suspects the doll was never marked because she may have been produced when the Maxine Doll Company was in litigation with Effanbee over design infringement




The pattern was carefully removed from the magazine and stored in a manilla envelope for years
