CRYOGENIC / LOW-TEMPERATURE LAB EQUIPMENT

Leybold RDK 10-320 Closed-Cycle Helium Cryostat Cold Head

Model RDK 10-320  |  Catalog no. 891 11  |  Serial A83100012

Exceptionally clean Leybold RDK 10-320 closed-cycle helium cryostat / cold-head base assembly acquired from Arizona State University laboratory surplus. The unit is marked Basiseinheit 210 and bears a Cool Pair Plus reconditioning label. A compatible helium compressor and temperature-control system were not available for testing, so full cryogenic performance is unverified.

Equipment overview

The Leybold RDK 10-320 is a two-stage closed-cycle helium cryostat / cold head for low-temperature laboratory research. Published RDK 10-320 installations use a Gifford-McMahon refrigeration cycle and, with the appropriate compressor and temperature controller, operate over approximately 10 K to 320 K. This unit is marked Basiseinheit 210, Kat.-Nr. 891 11, and includes the installed cold finger, pressure gauge, and helium connections shown. It is offered as the pictured cold-head/base assembly only and has not been cryogenically performance-tested by us.

Condition: Used — exceptionally clean, untested

Assessed on four axes before listing.

Functional Sold as-is, untested No compatible helium compressor, controller, or complete RDK system was available. The unit was not run, and minimum temperature, cooldown performance, seals, valves, sensors, and complete cryogenic operation have not been verified.
Cosmetic Excellent cosmetic condition Exceptionally clean for its age with very little visible wear. Original Leybold identification plates and markings are present. Minor age, storage, and handling marks may be present; see the actual-item photos. The housing bears a Cool Pair Plus reconditioning label.
