This specific variant is extremely rare on the market due to its incredibly short production window and very limited manufacturing quantities.

Over 60 years old, this complete set has never been used and survives as pristine "New Old Stock" (NOS) surplus.

KM-30M Oxygen Mask (Size 3): Features the distinct deep green rubber facepiece, intact internal lining, and original attachment straps. Clear molded markings read "KM-30M" and "3".

Occipital Oxygen Bladder: The highly elusive external head-pressure bladder, complete with its original connecting hose and coupling.

Original Canvas Carrying Bag: Authentic Soviet-issue khakis/tan transport satchel with dual metallic snap buttons and shoulder strap.

Historical Background & Features:

The KM-30 series represented the first major upgrade to Soviet pressure-demand oxygen masks since the WWII-era KM-16. Designed for use with the ShL-61 leather flight helmet and ZSh-2 jet helmet, it was one of the earliest Soviet masks engineered to use an occipital bladder. Unlike later systems, this bladder was worn on the back of the pilot's head over the leather helmet.

The KM-30M ("M" standing for Modifikatsiya / Modification) is the enhanced, highly scarce variant of the base model. Because these masks lacked built-in microphones, pilots from this era relied strictly on throat-mounted La-3 or La-5 neck microphones.

Finding a KM-30 series mask today is difficult enough, but finding a complete modified "M" set with both its original bladder and carrying bag in unused condition is an absolute grail for Soviet Cold War aviation enthusiasts.

Overall: Excellent vintage condition considering the set is more than six decades old.

Rubber & Hardware: The green rubber facepiece remains structurally sound with excellent flexibility. Minor surface dust/storage residue is present, perfectly preserving its genuine surplus character. Snaps, metal rivets, and canvas webbing are fully intact.

Bladder: The exterior fabric casing is clean, retaining vivid stamp markings (including a clear factory "17" diamond stamp).

Bag: Authentic heavy canvas with crisp stitching, robust snaps, and light storage wear consistent with age.
