Description
For your consideration is 8" Winter Angel 65-S made by Madame Alexander in 1993 as a Limited Edition for Shirley"s Dollhouse. This doll is #118/1000. Her blue silk gown is overlayered with fine net studded with gold applique that gives the appearance of stars. Her hooded white cape trimmed in "fur" matches her muff. Angel wings are trimmed in gold loops which match the trim on the hem of her gown. A long lace-trimmed slip, panties, tights and gold flat shoes completes her outfit. She carries a 24 kt. gold finish horn. (in separate red box).
The details on her face - blush, eyebrows and eyes- are perfect Alexander. Note that her eyes do not toggle well, but are easily moved by hand. Her dark hair is covered by the cape hood.
Pink tissue paper, neck brace and hang tag are in excellent condition. The tag has an enamel -on -metal collector pin The box is also in very good condition. The label name and production number are clearly visible. COA is included and there is an additional brochure containing a picture of the doll. I am including at no extra cost, the designer stand by Ann Rast made exclusively for Winter Angel.
This doll is on auction for my friend, an avid Alexander collector, who has had to downsize subsequent to moving. This doll was carefully stored in her box in a smoke and pet free home. This is a gorgeous Alexander with all sorts of extras; hard to believe she is already 30 years old. Please e-mail me with any questions prior to bidding. Thanks.
