This colorful Disney collector pin features Chip and Dale in a Polynesian-inspired “it’s a small world” scene surrounded by vivid tiki imagery and bright tropical colors. Pink, orange, yellow, blue, brown and cream enamel is accented by a polished gold-tone finish, creating a highly detailed design with the distinctive styling associated with Disney’s early Disneyana convention releases.
Created by Disney artist Tim Whalen, the pin represents the lyric “There’s So Much That We Share” from the classic “it’s a small world” song. It was produced for the 2000 Disneyana Convention as part of a special 12-pin series in which individual Disney artists interpreted different lyrics from the attraction’s famous song. This Tim Whalen design was issued in a Limited Edition of 2,000.
The textured gold-tone reverse bears Tim Whalen’s handwritten signature directly on the pin and also retains its original Disney markings and convention information. The original black Mickey Mouse-shaped rubber pin back is included.
Tim Whalen has had a long career creating artwork and merchandise for Disney Parks and became known among collectors for his Disney pin designs, limited-edition artwork and other park merchandise. His signature directly on this early Disneyana Convention release adds an important artist connection to an already limited collectible.
The pin remains in excellent collector condition. The enamel colors are bright and glossy, the gold-tone outlining remains attractive, and Tim Whalen’s signature is strong and clearly visible on the reverse.
