antique German porcelain plate. Decorated with a hand painted Watteau /
courting couple scene in the center framed by raised gold scrollwork.
Has a pink border with raised gold rose swags and scrollwork with hand
painted cherub scenes and raised gold roses and musical instruments.
Marked with a blue crown over Dresden. This is a decorator's mark used
by Donath & Co in Dresden Germany between 1893 and 1916.
Has some wear to the gilding, but otherwise good condition with no chips or cracks.
Measures approximately 8 1/4 inches wide.
