Although there are no players names on the front of these outstanding in-action cards (there are cards for each team, plus cards commemorating the Super Bowls), the players are readily recognizeable. In the 1982 Fleer set are the very first Fleer cards of one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time -- Joe Montana. And....there is not just one card picturing Joe Montana in this set; there are two! In addition to Montana, many other NFL greats and Hall of Famers are pictured in this great NFL action set. Among them are Walter Payton, Earl Campbell, John Riggins, Wendell Tyler, Jack Lambert, Joe Theismann, Jim Taylor, Bob Griese, Paul Warfield, Roger Staubach, Tony Dorsett, Larry Csonka, Jim Plunkett, Bill Walsh, Bob Lilly, Lynn Swann, and more. In the 1984 Fleer set are the only 1984 cards of one of the greatest running backs of all time -- Earl Campbell (he did not appear in the 1984 Topps set).
