Hardcover. The Children's Book Club Edition. Unclipped dust jacket has slight tears and creases at top and bottom of spine and to corners plus yellowing. Minor foxing on first few pages with more significant foxing to top, fore and bottom edges and vertical yellow stripe to endpapers, all consistent with age. The boards are pale blue and there is a dent on the spine. The text and the illustrations by Mary Dinsdale are clean with no annotations or markings. There are pencilled or crayoned ticks on the back dust jacket. 152 pages. 13cm x 20cm. This story involves the author's most famous child characters, Ian, Sovra and Cathie, whose adventure involves mystery, secrets and treasure.
