Some information out of Wikipedia :
Saint Thérèse of Lisieux (1873–1897), known as “The Little Flower”, was a French Discalced Carmelite nun whose simple spirituality profoundly shaped modern Catholic devotion. Born Marie‑Françoise‑Thérèse Martin in Alençon, she entered the Carmel of Lisieux at age 15 and lived a hidden life marked by humility, trust, and love. She died of tuberculosis at 24, leaving behind her spiritual autobiography, Story of a Soul, which made her one of the most beloved saints in the world.
Her central teaching, the “Little Way”, is the path of doing small, ordinary things with great love and childlike confidence in God. She is honored as a Doctor of the Church (declared in 1997) and is patron saint of missionaries, florists, aviators, priests, and those suffering from illness. Her feast day is October 1.
