Inscribed copy of Mankind in the Making Revised Edition (1967) by William Howells

A Very Good minus book, clean throughout (except for the inscription and some aging/darkening at the gutters of the paste downs and free end papers) and tightly bound. The dust jacket is Good - entire but with tears and wear to to edges, and some aging.

Inscribed to Stuart Cressey, whose family were neighbors to the Howells at their vacation home in Maine.

The book is unremarkable, being a later printing of the revised edition. What is noteworthy is Howell's signature and the family connection to the Cresseys. As additional evidence, included are some photocopied pictures of the Howell home in Maine.
