This listing is for The Good News Bible with Deuterocanonicals and Apocrypha, presented in a softcover English edition. This Bible is in Excellent Used Condition (EUC) and shows only very minor bending at the cover corners consistent with light handling and storage.
The Good News Bible, also known as the Good News Translation (GNT) or Today’s English Version (TEV), is widely recognized for its clear and accessible language. It was originally developed by the American Bible Society to present biblical texts in modern English while maintaining accuracy and readability. The translation is known for using simple sentence structure and vocabulary designed to make scripture approachable for readers of varying backgrounds.
This edition includes the Deuterocanonical books and Apocrypha, texts that are traditionally included in Catholic and some ecumenical Bible editions but not typically present in standard Protestant-only Bible printings. These additional books provide historical and theological context that is valued in many liturgical traditions and academic biblical studies.
Softcover editions such as this are commonly used for personal reading, study groups, church classes, and academic reference due to their lighter weight and portability compared to hardcover formats. The flexible cover allows for easier transport in backpacks, book bags, or study materials while still offering durable page binding.
