This small book has "Copyright" on the front page but no date. I expect its the first half of the 20th C. 

      It says "An all British Production" on the title page.  It also reads "Over 460 Illustrations Depicting the History of Britain in Saxon and Norman Times"

      The text is a bit cursory on the history but the drawings are first rate and cover all sorts of things from costume to arms and armor, jewelry an architecture and furniture. Also battle scenes. On the back cover are other titles from the same author.

       64 pages include a glossary at the end.In case you wondered what a Stycas was.
