Striking signed Raku studio pottery bowl with a wonderfully organic, sculptural form.

This handmade ceramic bowl features an irregular undulating rim, pierced heart-shaped openings, applied and layered clay elements, and a soft ivory/gray crackled glaze accented with smoky blue-gray detailing. Sculptural folds and raised elements give the bowl interest from every angle.

The interior is especially unusual, with overlapping abstract clay forms creating an almost collage-like composition. Pierced hearts around the sides allow light to pass through and add another dimensional element.

Signed by the artist on the underside; signature appears to read “Jasper.” Artist has not been independently identified.
