This moulded crystal compote or pedestal bowl in its original box was made by Walther Glas in their Maria pattern, which was in production from 1988 to 1992. It features five-petalled flowers and leaves on the outer surface and a smooth glossy inner surface, making it easy to clean. The frosted pedestal echoes the five petals of the flowers. It will be great for serving small fruit, small cakes, and pastries - particularly profiteroles with chocolate sauce!  

The compote is 16.5 cm (6.5 inches) tall and 19 cm (7.5 inches) in diameter across the top. It holds 1.5 litres (just under 3 pints) and weighs 1.36 kilos before packaging. 

This item is in excellent previously owned condition, with no chips or cracks, and just a hint of surface wear on the outer surface. The box is lightly creased and worn but still perfectly functional.
