This might cause a bit of controversy with the hardened chopper experts and major enthusiasts however since producing the shifter table display unit i have been asked or requested by too many people to ignore, they all asked if I could produce a usable unit ie that could work on a standard chopper mk2 design so i have done just that , i have beefed up the side supports and swapped out the 3 position ball bearing plates with hardened mild steel which makes it much tougher, i mounted it onto a mk2 framer and connected it to the cable and toggle chain as shown in the video and it work just like the original unit so it makes for a good alternative as the original units are becoming extremely hard to find the last one i found i had to do alot of repairs to make it usable again. so if it helps the chopper enthusiasts out good .The Raleigh Chopper MK2 Gear Slector Base Unit is a complete unit made in the United Kingdom.
