Lucifer's Minstrels" is a typo or misremembered name for Lucier's Minstrels. They were a traveling American musical and theatrical troupe managed by F.J. Palmer, which toured during the 1890s and early 1900s. The group's featured act was Joseph R. Lucier, a well-known blind cornetist who performed during the late 19th and early 20th centuries.  Like many acts of the era, the troupe incorporated elements of blackface minstrelsy, a prevalent but highly controversial form of 19th-century American entertainment that relied heavily on racial caricatures.
