This is the real deal; the classic monophonic analogue bass synthesiser that shaped the sound of acid house, techno, and many other genres since the mid-1980s.
Released in 1982 as a companion to the TR-606 drum machine, the TB-303 was a commercial failure as it sounded nothing like a real bass guitar (which was the original design brief).
However it was that very failure that led to it becoming a staple of underground and electronic music. Units were sold off at bargain basement pricing and ended up in the hands of the pioneers of acid house and techno who rejoiced in its distinctive squelchy resonance and it went on to be the cornerstone of acid house and techno.
Used to devastating effect by artists such as Phuture, Aphex Twin, Plastikman, and Daft Punk, the 303 is still one of the most recognisable synths in electronic music.
This unit is undergoing a full service and calibration by our techs. It will ship working exactly as it should and ready to drop straight into your setup.
Condition: In excellent overall condition although there are some signs of wear such as a few marks to the sides of the unit and some slight fade or discolouration on the faceplate. Please see photos or get in touch if you require more information.
Voltage: Requires a 9v centre negative Boss PSA-style power adaptor for use, or 4 C type batteries (not included). A brand new Boss supply is best (cheaper switching supplies may produce noise).
