Vintage Richard Müller wooden B-flat clarinet manufactured in Bremen, Germany. Based on its key configuration, this appears to be a German/Oehler-system instrument.
The clarinet comes with the vintage hard case shown. The case is marked Kent State University, suggesting possible former university band use. Also included are a vintage Empire Co. marching-band music lyre, J. H. Schuler Co. “Vibrator” No. 2 clarinet reed box marked 25 cents, vintage Conn cork-grease container marked 15 cents, and the other accessories pictured.
This instrument is being sold exactly as found. I am not a musician and do not have the knowledge or ability to test it. It should be considered untested and may require cleaning, new pads, new corks, adjustments or other professional service before use.
The wooden body shows normal age and use. Oxidation, discoloration and finish wear are present on the metal keywork and music lyre. I inspected the instrument but could not locate a serial number. The age, remaining contents and usability of the included reeds and cork grease are unknown.
The case shows substantial exterior wear, and its leather-covered handle is badly deteriorated. The handle should not be trusted for carrying the case.
Please examine all photographs closely for cosmetic condition and to confirm exactly what is included. Sold as an untested vintage instrument for restoration, collection or display. No claims are made regarding its current playability.
