Unusual vintage ceramic conch shell-shaped bowl / planter, finished in a rich graduated green glaze with darker olive and brown tones towards the exterior.

The piece is modelled as a large seashell, complete with a raised spiral conch point and organically shaped, flared bowl. The glaze has an attractive streaked and mottled quality which works particularly well with the sculptural form.

A great decorative piece for a mid-century, retro, coastal, nautical or eclectic interior. It could be displayed simply as a ceramic ornament or used as a small planter, trinket bowl or decorative catch-all.

Condition

Vintage condition with some age-related surface wear and marks. I can see scratching/utensil-type marks to the inside of the bowl, so I would make sure these are mentioned rather than describing it as excellent condition.

Please check all photographs carefully as they form part of the description.

A particularly eye-catching piece thanks to the unusual conch form and vivid green glaze.
