Nippon Morimura Pink Rose Gold Beaded & Green Jewels Chocolate Pot C. 1911-1921

Nice antique Japanese porcelain chocolate pot. Decorated with pink rose swags over a white background at the top. Painted ivory on the bottom. With gold bands with gold beading above and below the pink roses. Has small hand painted green ovals within the gold around the shoulder to create a impression of jeweling. Gold gilding and scrollwork to the handles. Marked on the bottom Hand Painted M Nippon with a wreath. This mark was used by the Morimura Brothers in Nippon (Japan) between 1911 and 1921.

Has some wear to the gilding, but otherwise good condition with no chips or cracks.

Measures approximately 6 7/8 inches wide from spout to handle x 8 5/8 inches tall to the top of the lid finial.

This is an antique and may have small in manufacture defects that do not affect the display of the piece.
