Offered for sale is my beautiful TUDOR Glamour Day Date. Tudor is a sister company of Rolex. This beautiful timepiece is the TUDOR equivalent of the Rolex Day Date.
I have been the custodian of this watch since 2018 and you can see from the photographs the aesthetic and mechanical condition the watch is in. I am the second owner but have owned the watch since it was under a year old. It was purchased by me from a Tudor dealer in used (but like new) condition.
I see myself as a custodian of things like this and so I am a bit geeky. For example, I can provide accuracy readings for this watch over the past 8 years if requested as I use an app to log all of my watches to the atomic clock. It has been consistent for the past 8 years. Please feel free to message me if you would like to see this information. I also have photographs of this watch since 2018 . Feel free to ask. Please, NO SILLY OFFERS. I am not desperate to sell it. But I will let it go and let someone else have the pleasure of it for a fair price.
The watch was new in 2018 and comes with all original packaging and paperwork. Please see the photographs. The TUDOR box and paperwork are like new. The outer paper sleeve does have some marks but is not ripped or torn. Note that I also have a Tudor Black Bay and that one has a Tudor plastic swing tag in the box but I cannot find the one for this. I do not know if it is lost or there never was one. Apart from that the set is complete. All paperwork, certificates etc are correct.
To put the buyers mind at ease I have included photographs of the watch on a timeographer in five different positions. It shows outstanding beat error in all positions, an excellent amplitude in all positions and very little variation in seconds per day (delta variation). In short it is operating perfectly and within TUDOR'S tight tolerances in all positions. That should erase any buyers concerns about servicing. This is not a frankenwatch or a worn out beater. It has been used infrequently, but it has never been left to rest for months at a time. I have a collection of watches and I always run them every two or three weeks even when not wearing them. In the real world this watch runs at approximately plus one to plus two seconds a day.
The day date feature ticks over instantaneously within a minute of midnight. It has never been polished. I have listed it as "good" but I cannot see a mark anywhere that is visible to the naked eye. Please see the photos as they form part of the description. Note that some of the photographs are taken with a macro lens. You will do well to find a better used example on ebay, both in terms of aesthetic condition and mechanical heath.
The caseback has never been removed under my stewardship. There has never been a need to. It runs as well now as it did when I bought it.
The crown works perfectly as you would expect.
Please, a note to the lucky bidder, NEVER adjust the day date function between the hours of 8 and 4. That is the danger zone for the day date mechanics. The way I do this is to ALWAYS set the time to approximately 6 o'clock when I need to adjust the day or date.
The original TUDOR leather strap and clasp has very minimal wear.
PLEASE SEE ATTACHED PHOTOGRAPH OF THE MECHANICAL HEALTH REPORT. As mentioned previously, in my real world usage of this watch I have found it consistently runs at plus 1 to 2 seconds a day on the wrist which ties in nicely with the information generated in the mechanical health report (which gives an estimation of expected daily average).
