Reverse contains additional sketch studies.

This Item will be well wrapped for dispatch.  Original mid-19th century (circa 1840–1850) pencil, ink and watercolour figure study on thick rag paper. with an additional pasted sheet of thinner paper to the backing containing additional sketch studies. The backing piece is pasted down to one side only and 

there is some faint pencil writing cannot quite make out all the words. "The maiden was coming to dust the drawing room...tranquility?? The text is largely illegible.
