but it remains sturdy with sufficient thickness
and can still be used for sharpening.
Polishing with a natural whetstone is less likely to produce burrs,
and the sharpness lasts longer than with an artificial water whetstone.
This Japanese natural whetstone is suitable for medium sharpening.
