Beautiful 1980s vintage wedding gown by legendary designer Jessica McClintock. Perfectly capturing her famous Victorian-revival elegance, this piece is ideal for an authentic vintage wedding, editorial styling, or a high-end fashion archive.
Key Design Features
- Iconic Victorian Yoke: High illusion neckline featuring a sheer lace bib, structured lace collar, and delicate hanging loop fringe.
- Flattering Structure: Deep sweetheart neckline under-bodice tapering down into a dramatic, elongating center-front basque waistline.
- Tulle Petticoat - Under the skirt is a full tulle petticoat attached to the dress to give volume. (Please note the tulle is quite creased and has not been ironed as I did not want to ruin it. It will need a steam before wearing). No holes.
- Stunning Rear Details: A sheer lace portrait back panel with elegant satin button closures leads into a heavily pleated satin rear bustle and a flowing chapel-length train.

The oversized, original matching satin rear bow has been cleanly detached from the lower back waistline. I personally think it looks beautiful without it but will be sent with the dress..
- To Wear As-Is: Keep the bow off to showcase a cleaner, streamlined modern-vintage look that shifts full focus onto the intricate lace portrait back and pleated satin bustle drape (as styled on the mannequin) or use the fabric to make a matching headpiece or clutch.
- To Wear Max-80s style: Simply quickly stitch the included bow back onto the designated attachment point to restore the gown to its full, original maximalist glory. The bow will be safely packaged and shipped inside the parcel with the gown.
Condition Report
Excellent Vintage Condition. This gown has been exceptionally well preserved.
- Lace: 100% complete. There are no catches, snags, or tears in the delicate illusion mesh or Venetian lace overlays.
- Fabric: The high-shine satin is structurally strong with excellent luster.
- Note: Dress has been stored carefully. It will require light, gentle steaming upon arrival to release shipping and storage folds. Do not iron directly.

TAGGING / RETURNS - Unfortunately, due to previous experiences with my vintage garments being worn and returned, all my vintage dresses are now fitted with a security ID tag prior to dispatch. It is a soft paper tag that does not impact or fault the garment at all. This tag must remain attached if a return is requested. Once the tag is removed, the item is considered worn and becomes non-returnable. The tag is designed to be easily cut with scissors once you’ve decide to keep the dress. I am happy to offer returns if item does not fit but all postage costs are the responsibility of customer. All sizes for dresses are supplied in description. Please try the dress on carefully with the tag intact. If the tag is removed, no return or refund will be accepted.
VINTAGE - Please note most of my items are vintage and will never be new. There WILL be signs of age or wear. I will always try best to describe wear as best to my ability but please always look closely at pics at these form part of the description. Zoom in and out for best viewing.
