Very early UK pressing which has the following etched in the run-out grooves:
Side one: FACT-10-OUTSIDE 1 B THIS IS THE WAY A PORKY PRIME CUT
Side two: FACT-10-INSIDE 1 A A PORKY PRIME CUT STEP
This copy has vinyl which is very slightly translucent. It looks like a typical black vinyl record but when held in front of an intense, bright light it is very slightly translucent. Please note that I have seen copies which are far more translucent than this. This one is only just translucent - it is only just noticeable, even in front of a bright light source. For the avoidance of any doubt the photographs in this listing show light shining THROUGH the vinyl. It is NOT a reflection.
Description
Disc: The vinyl has retained
its original sheen with various light surface marks, sleeve-removal lines, brush-lines etc, as well as a few more-visible surface marks and hairlines, mainly on side two. I have played both sides in full from start to finish and most of the audio is Excellent (Ex). However, there are a handful of places where you get a short lived swishy-click which means that the overall play-grade is lower. Side one starts with a swishy-click which lasts for approximately one minute before disappearing. At no point does it overpower the music. There are some small clicks in a couple of the silent grooves and there is a click in the very quiet intro to 'Insight' which disappears pretty much as soon as the music comes in. Aside from these points side one plays comfortably Excellent (Ex) and 'New Dawn Fades' sounds awesome. Side two has about twenty swishy-clicks in 'She's Lost Control' and some small clicks in the intro to 'Shadowplay', but aside from these points it generally sounds superb. For the most part the audio on this album is a SAFE Excellent (Ex), but to account for the issues mentioned here I will play-grade side one overall as Very Good (VG) and side two as Very Good Plus (VG+).
Labels: No tears, stickers, writing etc.
Sleeve: The textured Garrod and Lofthouse sleeve has no seam splits, tears, writing, stickers etc, but shows various signs of age, wear and use, including wear to the spine, edges, opening and corners, ring-wear, surface wear, small creases and signs of handling and use etc.
Inner sleeve: No splits or tears, but shows general signs of age and use, including foxing spots, grubbiness and general signs of handling and age.
Detracting features not covered above: None.

Where gradings are given these are based on the UK Record Collector grading system (see below) and are visual gradings only, unless the listing specifically states that it is a play-grading.
I use the UK RECORD COLLECTOR GRADING SYSTEM. This grading system differs from some other grading systems, in particular the Goldmine grading system. Please make sure that you are familiar with the UK record collector grading system before you bid.
Mint: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.
Excellent: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
Very Good: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
Good: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.
Fair: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.
Poor: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
Bad: The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.
Plus (+) or Minus (-) are added where items fall between gradings. I only ever use one plus or minus.
