Terms and conditions of sale of used “green” parts:

This guarantee will be honoured by Auto Spares and Salvage Ltd.

Our warranty covers parts only. We cannot cover labour costs associated with the fitment, removal or re-fitment of any engine or part, nor do we cover costs arising due to the fitting of an engine or part we have supplied.

All our items are sold subject to our warranty terms and conditions. Our warranties are between ourselves (Autospares and salvage limited) and the named person on the invoice. Warranties are not transferable.

We offer 90 days as a minimum on all parts sold (unless agreed otherwise). All warranty periods start from the date of purchase (date shown on the invoice). If within this time, the part proves to be faulty, we will offer a replacement.

If a replacement cannot be provided, we will refund.

ECUs & Electrical items are not guaranteed.

Recorded mileage has not been verified, and the accuracy of the odometer reading cannot be relied on and should be disregarded

Engines and gearboxes purchased through this online platform are supplied with a 30-day warranty. An extended warranty may be available upon request and must be agreed with Autospares & Salvage Ltd before purchase. Unless otherwise stated, engines and gearboxes are supplied as bare units. Ancillary components including, but not limited to, water pumps, oil pumps, injectors, manifolds, sensors, timing components, clutches, flywheels, filters and wiring are not covered under warranty and should be inspected or replaced before installation. Engines and gearboxes must be installed by a recognised VAT-registered or established motor repair business and fitted in accordance with the manufacturer's specifications. In the event of a warranty claim, we may request copies of fitting invoices together with receipts for replacement service items including, where applicable, timing belts or chains, water pumps, filters, approved engine oil, coolant and other related components. Warranty will be void where failure results from overheating, lack of lubrication, misuse, incorrect installation, incorrect diagnosis, neglect, modification, racing, competition use, or failure of components not supplied by Autospares & Salvage Ltd.

We do not guarantee any clutches that may be supplied or left on our engines. We recommend that all of these parts are to be fitted as new before fitting the second-hand engine.

In the event of a claim of a faulty engine or gearbox, you must provide receipts for your purchase of: Timing kits (belt or chain), water pumps, fuel filters, approved engine oil, oil filter, spark plugs, water thermostat, oil pump, failure to do so will void the warranty.

We do not offer a warranty on any external parts or labour, broken sensors or shipping costs, warranty covers the engine block and cylinder head.

It is the purchaser’s responsibility to ensure the correct details are given to our sales team when ordering a component.

All engines and gearboxes are tested prior to sale (unless sold as spares or repair). The company will accept no liability under this guarantee where engines fail as a result of criminal or malicious damage, fire or theft. All claims under this warranty will be subject to a full investigation by our technicians. If it appears that the engine damage has occurred due to overheating or lack of lubrication, resulting from neglect or lack of reasonable care, or not following manufacturer guidelines, no reimbursement nor replacement will be made. If upon inspection the engine has been damaged by the malfunction of any components not supplied by the company, then it will not be covered by this agreement.

All guarantees apply from the date of original purchase.

In the event of any warranty claim, we may ask you to produce receipts of any service work or parts fitted following the installation of any components that have been purchased from us.

Our warranty covers normal use and the warranty does not cover the engine/product for track or race use Returns.

If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, simply return the item(s) to us in their original condition within 14 days of receipt. We will issue a refund upon receipt and examination. Items should wherever possible be returned in their original (or similarly robust) packaging with a completed Returns Form.

Call a member of our team and we will raise an RMA number (Returns Merchandise Authorisation) and email you a returns form.
