A beautiful and highly collectible original Soviet (USSR) handcrafted repoussé metal wall plaque, created in the 1970s–1980s.

The artwork depicts one of the iconic Soviet hydrofoil passenger boats (“Raketa”) speeding across the river with the skyline of Cherkasy (Черкаси) in the background. The composition also includes a bridge, television tower, modernist buildings, and an airplane overhead, perfectly capturing the optimistic futuristic spirit of the Soviet Space Age era.

Hand-worked from embossed sheet metal using traditional repoussé techniques, the plaque combines architectural, transportation and industrial themes that defined Soviet modernism.

Its sculptural relief, warm bronze-toned finish and strong geometric composition make it an excellent decorative object for collectors of Space Age, Mid-Century Modern, Soviet design, and transportation memorabilia.
