Some information out of Wikipedia  : 

“De praesepio Domini Nostri Jesu Christi” refers to a relic associated with the Manger of Bethlehem, the place where Jesus was laid after his birth. Since early Christian times, fragments of the original wooden crib were venerated and eventually brought to Rome, where they are kept in the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore. Reliquaries bearing this inscription contain small authenticated particles connected to that sacred site of the Nativity.
