This book is a biography on Alexander Stephens, the only Vice President to serve the Confederate States during the Civil War.  He later became the governor of Georgia.  Stephens is famous for his Cornerstone Speech.

This book is very worn and distressed.  The leather over hardboard covers are almost completely detached.  One section of pages is hanging on by threads.  Several of the first page edges are chipped and frayed.  Remainder of binding seems to be ok.  Pages are clean / unmarked.
