An original 1981 London Palladium theatre programme for the spectacular West End production of Barnum, starring the legendary Michael Crawford as P.T. Barnum.
This colourful musical, featuring music by Cy Coleman and directed by Peter Coe, became one of the defining West End productions of the early 1980s. The programme includes cast lists, musical numbers, production credits, photographs and fascinating background information from the original London run.
A wonderful piece of British theatre history and an excellent addition to any collection of West End memorabilia, Michael Crawford memorabilia, musical theatre programmes or circus-related ephemera. Carefully preserved for decades by my late grandmother, who loved collecting programmes after memorable evenings at the theatre, making this a charming keepsake as well as a collectible item.
Condition:
Good vintage condition overall with signs of age and handling. There is light edge wear, some creasing and scuffing to the covers, with minor wear to the spine. The programme is complete, clean and fully readable. Please study all photographs carefully as they form an important part of the description.

Every piece I sell comes from my late grandmother's remarkable lifetime collection, built over more than 70 years.
She began her career as an air hostess during the 1940s and 1950s, travelling the world and bringing home unusual treasures from every destination. Along the way she fell in love with my grandfather, a Swissair pilot, and together they shared a lifelong passion for collecting history, art, antiques and memorabilia.
In the 1960s she opened her own antiques business, a passion she continued until retiring at the incredible age of 92. She believed every object had a story worth preserving, whether it was a theatre programme, football programme, book, magazine or antique collected during her lifetime.
Today, I'm carefully cataloguing and rehoming her collection, ensuring each piece finds someone who will appreciate it for many years to come.
