Up for sale is a two-book 1955 Buick service and parts reference set, including the 1955 Buick Shop Manual and 1955 Chassis and Body Parts Book.

These are later reproduction/reference copies of the original Buick factory literature rather than original books printed in 1955. Both are full-size, plastic-comb-bound manuals that are easy to lay open while working on the car.

The 1955 Buick Shop Manual contains the factory service information used for the 1955 model year, covering areas such as engine service, fuel and exhaust systems, transmissions, rear axle, suspension, steering, brakes, electrical systems, heating/radio accessories, frame, sheet metal, and body service. The original Buick manual covers the Century, Roadmaster, Special, and Super lines.

The accompanying 1955 Chassis and Body Parts Book is focused on factory parts identification, including part numbers, applications, trim/body components, and illustrated reference diagrams. Buick parts books were originally created for dealership parts departments to identify components and factory part numbers.

Both manuals are in good pre-owned condition overall. The pages remain clean and readable, with normal handling and storage wear. The shop manual’s clear protective cover and reproduced color front cover show visible scuffing and wear, while the interiors present very nicely from what I found during inspection. The plastic bindings remain intact and allow both books to open flat.

I did not find any obvious missing pages during inspection, but I have not individually counted every page against an original pagination list.

This would make a useful reference set for someone restoring, maintaining, or researching a 1955 Buick, especially when identifying original components and part numbers.

Please take a close look through the photos for the exact condition and printing style. Both manuals shown are the exact books you will receive.
