This is the sought-after Module 1174 version, complete with the original Casio stainless steel bracelet and in excellent honest vintage condition. The display is strong and clear, the graphics remain crisp, and the watch is working as it should.
The CMD-40 is far more than just a digital watch. Released in the early 1990s, it combined Casio’s legendary digital technology with an infrared TV and VCR remote control, 8-digit calculator, alarm, stopwatch, and one of its most impressive features – the Learning Function, allowing the watch to learn and store infrared commands from compatible remote controls. It could store multiple learned IR commands and also supported manufacturer codes for TVs and video equipment, making it one of the most advanced wearable gadgets of its era.

Collectors will know these are becoming increasingly difficult to find complete, especially with the original bracelet and in such honest condition. The CMD series has developed a real cult following thanks to its unmistakable design and the fact it represents one of Casio’s most ambitious pieces of wearable technology before the smartwatch era.
