I was a theater manager for several years on Hilton Head Island, which is a resort for the rich and famous. And in that time I met many an actor on holiday or in production for a film being shot in nearby locations. Got their autographs too on occasion! In Chris Farley's case he was attending a famous weight loss center on the island in between seasons of Saturday Night Live. I was in the Box Office selling tickets when he walked up to buy a ticket to Tommy Boy. I was stunned to say the least. I tried to let him in free but he insisted. Long story short, he signed every Tommy Boy poster we had in the theater. Including for every single customer and employee who asked him. To say he was kind to one and all is to do him an injustice. He was the sweetest human being I ever met. He would drop by the next few summers as well. Always if we had a movie of his playing, and every time he signed without comment or complaint. We became friends but that's not saying a great deal. Chris had hundreds of friends. I would run his movies for him after hours and we'd talk into the wee hours. Ive sold off all but this one last signed poster of Chris's, and I do so with a heavy heart. But I'm retiring now and trying to downsize to make ends meet for the future. Otherwise, it would remain in my home. My hope is it will go to a true fan of Chris Farley who will treasure it as much as I have. Please note the frame pictured is NOT included. Just the poster rolled up and sent to you in a poster mailing tube. Thank you!
