Now, a collection of precious tracks, including many previously unreleased recordings, made in 1965 with legendary producer Shel Talmy, just before he began his career as David Bowie, is being released as a single work!

◆David Bowie, a legend who always stayed at the forefront of his time and pioneered new eras. From the late 1960s to 2016, he was a legendary figure who "continued to change while remaining unchanged," constantly stimulating the times. Now that this incredible box set series, which has compiled his life alongside the changing times, has been completed, a work that could be called a prequel to his rich career has appeared.

◆ The release this time is "The Shel Talmy Recordings," a collection that captures him on the eve of "David Bowie," encompassing almost all of the recordings he made with Shel Talmy, a legendary producer who represented the 60s and produced groundbreaking hit songs in collaboration with The Who and The Kinks, during the time when he was still known as "Davy Jones."

◆This album, "The Shell Talmy Recordings," contains 22 tracks, including previously unreleased recordings and valuable demo recordings from that time. Its historical value is already immense simply for being a masterful compilation of the precious period just before David Bowie began his career as a musician. Furthermore, the album features contributions from Jimmy Page, who was working as a session guitarist at the time and later became a legendary guitarist for the Yardbirds and Led Zeppelin, and Nicky Hopkins, the renowned pianist famous for his collaborations with the Rolling Stones, the Beatles, The Who, and Jeff Beck, further enhancing its historical significance. The accompanying booklet also includes detailed liner notes by musician and music historian Alec Palau.
